Super Saturday

Claire and I after returning home from a fun morning at our ward's Super Saturday craft day. I made a Christmas Countdown block complete with chalkboard paint to write the days left. It was super fun to get out and have some girl time.

Claire Jane

Our new baby girl, Claire Jane, was born August 7 at 9:20am weighing 8 lbs 12 oz. We're so happy to have her!! It was a 24 hour labor (an hour shorter than Chloe's) but the delivery was super fast and easy. We came home from the hospital yesterday and have been doing great. Chloe loves her sister and loves to help out. We got some cute pictures so please enjoy!

Finished Table and Crafts

Brad and I finally finished building the new dining room table and we love the way it turned out. The stain made it look so antique and it turned out really stable. The first picture is of my latest craft: making soap dispensers out of mason jars. They've been a fun, Southern-style touch to our bathrooms and kitchen.

4th of July Party

We had a super fun 4th of July party with Brad's parents, including all-you-can-eat ribs, lots of desserts, and even some quail. We watched Independence Day because it was so appropriate and, of course, a super awesome movie.

Cupcakes and Toe nail painting

I spent today attempting to make cake and frosting from scratch, which is something I've never had success with in the past but with my cousin, Sara's, recipes I knew I would have better luck. They turned out great and just in time for our family BBQ tomorrow, which is why I tried to make them 4th of July themed.   The picture of Chloe's feet is one that she took by herself because her toes were so "beautiful" after we had painted them a few days ago.
