Chloe's Potty Seat

We've begun the long process of potty training so I thought I'd take a cute picture of Chloe enjoying her new potty seat. She loves to hang out on it. I also attached a picture of our kitchen now that we've painted the cabinets and installed the hardware.

More Trunk O Treat pictures

Here's some more pictures from the Trunk O Treat

Ward Trunk O Treat

Last night was our ward's Trunk O Treat and Chloe got to do her first real trick or treating. As soon as she figured out the goal was to collect candy, she didn't realize it was from the cars so she started trying to collect candy from all the other kids. Last year I made her a monkey costume that was as warm as a snow suit but it was so big that she couldn't wear it and it has been waiting for her all year long. I couldn't believe it, but it was STILL big on her. Since it was such a warm suit (I made it for Utah Halloweens) she only got to wear it for 15 minutes while she trunk or treated. During the chili cook-off and carnival games she just wore a cute Halloween-themed dress. She has certainly been enjoying her candy but I have to say I have eaten 4 times as much as she has. : 0 Check out the cute picture of her attempting to "pin the eye ball on the monster" at one of the carnival games.

The Birds

So for those of you who have seen The Birds, I had a near miss living that experience my self. Just the other morning I could hear a ton of "CAW", "CAW" and I thought to myself, "Man, that sounds like it came right out of the movie The Birds. So I peeked out my front window to find a whole flock of crows all over our neighbor's lawn, roof, the road, and our lawn. (There were a lot more birds than I was able to snap in this photo, I promise). They were probably on our roof too. I have to admit, there were a lot of crows, they were very load, and it kind of creeped me out :) I thought to myself that I'll be safe as long as I'm in the house, but then I remembered that in the movie they still got in and killed all the people. Okay, so they didn't kill the main characters. That's why I shouldn't watch scary movies, but I love them. So, here's a quick pic I took of them. I also wanted to share a cute picture of Chloe after she decided to get extra messy at lunch time.

We've Moved in!!

We finally moved into our new and beautiful home yesterday with all the help of the family!! We're so happy here and love having a home all our own. Having 3 bathrooms has to be the biggest change and it feels so luxurious. Our new fridge was delivered yesterday as well as our new couches. We had a great day at church today and the family came over for lunch. Last Thursday we were able to install all the blinds and now the only "to do" we have before our house is complete is screwing all the cabinet doors back on. Of course, we will have lots to do on the house but it's all quite optional and can be done at our convenience.
The top picture is us enjoying our first meal in the house (Subway), the second picture is Chloe driving to church (just kidding), the third picture is Chloe and Brad installing some privacy "fog" on the two windows next to the door to give us a little privacy, and the fourth picture is of Chloe relaxing in the shopping cart at Home Depot. Don't worry, we always keep her in the top basket with her seat belt on. She was in the bottom of the cart in the picture while we were waiting at the cashier's stand because it was late at night and she was getting very restless.

Cross Country Movie Party

A week ago and a half ago (sorry I haven't updated the blog lately) we had a cross-country movie party with Alyssa, Corey, and Declan. We all really wanted to see Fast Five (for some of us it was the 3rd or 4th time) as soon as it came out on DVD. So we scheduled a day when we would watch it at the same time and we even had a live video chat going through most of it. We also had a Cookie Feast, which entailed eating lots of homemade cookies, obviously. It was super fun and we'll have to make sure to do it again soon.

Workin' on the house

Hello Everyone!

Chloe wore a new outfit today and I have to say I have never seen her look so cute and grown up. I love her little jacket vest. A couple of these pictures were taken while working at our new house this afternoon. I was able to put those letter stickers onto our mailbox so it displayed our name. That was definitely one of the coolest things I've done since getting the house; putting our name on the mailbox. We're going back tonight to hopefully get some blinds up. (Oh, the top picture in the front yard is Brad's parent's house; not ours).

Day at Church

Hello!
Today we had a lovely day at church and Chloe got to wear an adorable Halloween-themed dress. Enjoy the pictures!

Wicked!

Hello!
Yesterday Brad took me to see Wicked at the Fox theater and it was amazing!! We loved it so much and even got to take the backstage tour. The singing and music was incredible. It was so amazing to get to stand on the stage right where "Elfphaba" had been standing/singing just 30 minutes before. Thanks Brad!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom!!

And Happy Wednesday to everyone else!

I decided to take some cute pictures of Chloe for the blog because it's been too long since the last time I uploaded some. She has also been extra cute today with her little pig tails and new Princess shoes that have light displays when she walks.

We're Homeowners!!

We closed on our house yesterday!!! We are so excited to start fixing it up and moving our stuff in. It's going to be a crazy day on Monday with the contractor coming to fix the repairs, the tree removal service cutting down 2 huge trees (on man!), a painter who'll be painting the whole interior for us, and someone to set up our natural gas. We can't believe the house is ours!!

Our closing experience sure was different than we expected because it felt a lot like the DMV. Everyone closing on their home along with their agent was shuffled into one big room and fed candy for 3 hours while we waited for our names to be called. Once we got to start signing paperwork it only took about 30 minutes before we were done. I guess it was to be expected because this was the federal government we were dealing with and it was the end of the month (busy, busy, busy!). When they finally called our names Brad said "Hallelujah" and the couple behind us said "Praise the Lord!" for us. Brad then replied back, "Can I get an amen?" and they said "Amen!!!"
I am very happy because we were pleasantly surprised when our agent gave us a parting gift of a $50 gift card to Home Depot. I can't wait to use it!

To celebrate, last night we double-dated with Brad's parents and saw Cowboys and Aliens. Daniel Craig makes a really good cowboy. I really enjoyed that movie. I mean, what could go wrong, it had aliens in it, right? I'd have to say, it's my favorite Western.

This morning, Brad is at a car auction and then we're excited to begin General Conference at 12pm. What a great weekend!!
