New Dining Table

Yesterday Brad started working on our new dining room table. It's been turning out great and I can't wait to start using it!

Brad's Birthday Weekend

It was Brad's birthday this weekend so we celebrated by having an all day date on Saturday and then having a little birthday party yesterday with his parents and some good friends of ours: Justin, Lettitia, and Carsten Ussery. Our Saturday date consisted of an hour of bowling, 2 games of laser tag with a bunch of 8-year-olds (that played a very good game, I might add), had dinner at a fun Vietnamese restaurant, and then saw The Avengers, which was great.
   Last night's birthday party consisted of some BBQ pulled pork burgers, corn on the cob, corn bread, apple pie, and of course, cake. It was such a great evening and the perfect weekend.

Floor Officially Done!

We officially finished putting in our new flooring and we love it! Much better than the previous 20-year-old linoleum and checkered wood squares.

Living Room "Sleepover"

Last night Brad and I borrowed his parent's tent so we could have a fun "sleepover" in the living room. Chloe, of course, had to sleep in her own room otherwise she'd never fall asleep but we got to enjoy a fun evening inspired by childhood fun. We had delicious glasses of milk with oreo cookies and watched a movie from inside our tent. 

Cake for Neighbor

Today Chloe and I made a little birthday cake (literally quite small, even though you can't tell in the picture) for our super sweet neighbor, Pam. She loves all things birds so I thought I would keep with a bird theme.

  We're almost done installing our new flooring! We've finished our dining room area, kitchen, hallway, and foyer. We just have a second small hallway and a downstairs bathroom to complete and then we'll officially be done with the floor. Yay!
  In other news, Chloe is making progress with her potty training as she finally peed in the potty!! I was so happy and it was so encouraging after so long of trying to get her to use the potty.

Last Saturday was Brad's brother Jared's wedding to the super sweet, Britnee. The sealing was at the Atlanta Temple that morning and then we had a fun reception at her grandparent's house that evening. The weather was perfect and everything went so well. We're so happy for Jared and Britnee!!

New Flooring

Last Saturday, Brad and I spent some good time prepping to finally get our new floors down and now we've actually been laying them down yesterday and today. It's been a really fun process and moving along quickly. We love it so much more than our linoleum and certainly more than the ruined carpet we had to rip out of the dining room. What's practical about having carpet in dining rooms anyways?
