Chloe's First Ride

On Monday evening, Chloe got to go on her first official horseback ride. She had been so excited to ride for months now. She had so much fun and definitely seemed to feel at home up in the saddle.

Completed Deck!

Today we finally finished our deck. This afternoon, I touched up the last bit of painting that needed to be done and this evening we're going to celebrate by having our first BBQ with Brad's new grill. Bring on the burgers!

Piggy Face

Yesterday, we went to a friend's house for a potluck dinner and Chloe enjoyed making pig faces on their balcony door. She definitely knows how to make us laugh.

New Sunday Dress

Happy Sunday! Last night, Brad got Chloe a new dress for Sunday and I have to say it's pretty cute :) After church, Chloe didn't want to go home, but instead wanted to run around to all the surrounding trees and hug them. So she spent about 15 minutes "tree hugging" all around the grounds. I got some cute pictures so please enjoy!

Cupcakes and Balloons

This evening Chloe and I attended our Relief Society Un-birthday party in celebration of everyone's birthday all at once. We all brought different kinds of cupcakes and played "Minute-To-Win-It" games. Once it was over, we gave Chloe two balloons to take home and she ran around like crazy with the other kids having a blast. Later at home, we found that the cats equally enjoyed the strings off the balloons.

Deck Completion! (Almost)

Hello! Brad and I spent all day today working on preparing our yard to be seeded and building the deck railing. We had the help of two of his seminary students who were super helpful and fun to work with. We got so much done!!! Of course, we took occasional 5 minute breaks for some lemonade and chocolate chip cookies. The only thing that remains incomplete is a top rail that some how came up 2 feet short so we need to make another quick trip to Home Depot. I'm so excited to paint the deck and then paint our house so we no longer have mix-matched colored siding. Hip, Hip, Horay for progress!

Deck Progress

The past three days have been very productive regarding the new deck railing. We're hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow so we can have all day to work on it along side two of our ward's boy scouts who owe us some manual labor. They will also help us prepare our backyard so we can plant grass in a couple weeks. As you can see, we still really need to paint our house due to all the siding repairs that were done when we moved in; hence the multi-colored siding. We can't wait to start having BBQ's and pork burgers!
